For Professionals

At Vitality, our rehabilitation plans are created with our client’s goals in mind. Implementing recovery-focused strategies allows us to reduce compensatory patterns and improve movement quality for functional outcomes.

Our approach combines activity-based therapy with integrated movement coaching.

We target the nervous system to create a safe physiological environment where the body is open and receptive to healing. We then work within a threshold of nervous system excitability to create reproducible and functional movements through neuroplasticity and fascial line tensegrity.

Innovative Neurorehabilitation in Dublin Combining Activity-Based Therapy and Integrated Movement Coaching

Bridging Evidence-Based Therapies with Real-World Movement

Welcome to a new standard in neurological rehabilitation. Our Dublin-based practice uniquely integrates two powerful frameworks:
Activity-Based Therapy (ABT)—a leading, research-backed approach from the USA and Australia—and Integrated Movement Coaching, inspired by the neuroscience-informed methods of Zebrafish Neuro.

Together, these approaches offer a novel, whole-person path to recovery for individuals with neurological injuries and conditions.

What is Activity-Based Therapy (ABT)?

ABT is a neurorehabilitation model that focuses on activating the nervous system through:

  • High-frequency, task-specific movement training

  • Neuromuscular stimulation and active participation

  • Load-bearing and weight-supported activities

  • Promoting recovery via neuroplasticity, not compensation

This therapy is particularly effective for individuals recovering from:

  • Spinal cord injuries

  • Strokes

  • Brain injuries

  • Other neurological diagnoses

Our program draws from protocols developed in leading ABT centers in the U.S. and Australia and adapts them to the Irish healthcare landscape.

What is Integrated Movement Coaching?

Based on the Zebrafish Neuro Framework for Recovery

Integrated Movement Coaching complements ABT by working with the body's natural neurobiological systems. Inspired by the Zebrafish Neuro Framework, this method is rooted in:

  • Motor development progression: Movement is retrained following the developmental blueprint—starting with foundational patterns such as rolling, crawling, and midline stability before progressing to upright and dynamic tasks. This sequence supports the reactivation of dormant neural pathways and reinforces brain-body communication.

  • Fascial line integration: Movement is guided along the body’s fascial lines—continuous myofascial pathways that connect muscles, joints, and organs. By restoring the body’s internal tensegrity system, we enable smoother, more efficient movement that respects the body's innate design.

  • Neuro-sensory input regulation: Through intentional, graded input, we help regulate the autonomic nervous system—enhancing proprioceptive feedback, calming sensory overwhelm, and building resilience.

This approach supports:

  • Postural control

  • Breath mechanics

  • Joint mobility and core stability

  • Reflexive and coordinated movement

By working at the intersection of neuroscience and movement, this model creates an environment where the nervous system feels safe enough to change.
